Who we are
The Melbourne AI Business Institute (MABI) is a research initiative based in Melbourne, Victoria, started by Mayfly Ventures and Welker&Moreno. Questions about this notice: director@mabi.institute.
Website analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how many people visit, which pages and research briefings they read, and where visitors come from. The configuration is deliberately conservative: IP addresses are anonymised, advertising features and Google Signals are switched off, and we do not combine analytics data with any other data about you. Analytics sets first-party cookies (named _ga and _ga_…) on this domain for up to two years so that repeat visits can be counted.
If your browser sends a “Do Not Track” or “Global Privacy Control” signal, analytics is not loaded at all. You can also block it with any content blocker, or with Google's opt-out browser add-on.
The Melbourne AI Business Pulse survey
The survey on /pulse/ runs on Tally and is anonymous: it does not ask for your name, email address or company name, and we cannot link a response to a person or an organisation. If, at the end of the survey, you ask for a findings brief or express interest in a StratLab session with Mayfly Ventures, those contact details are collected on a separate step with your consent and are stored apart from survey answers. Tally's own handling of data is described in Tally's privacy policy.
If you write to us, we keep your message and address to reply and to continue the conversation. We do not add you to any mailing list without asking.
Other services this site relies on
Pages are hosted by Vercel, which keeps standard server logs for security and operations. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when the font files are requested. We do not run advertising, social-media tracking pixels or third-party marketing tools.
Your choices and rights
You can use this site without accepting cookies by blocking them in your browser; everything on the site still works. You may ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, or raise a concern, by emailing the address above. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles.
