We are starting to build the Melbourne AI Business Institute, and we are looking for partners to help shape it.

Our ambition is a research institute where participating companies help identify the questions, contribute practical experience and learn from the evidence together.
We are beginning in Melbourne, with a focus on AI investment, implementation and business performance. The programme will develop through conversations with prospective partners.

MABI is an initiative started by Mayfly Ventures and Welker&Moreno.
We are now seeking additional partners to help develop the institute, shape its research priorities and build a programme that serves business leaders.
Director
Oscar Moreno, PhD
Oscar is a former Rutgers Business School professor with more than 15 years of research experience in human decision-making. He led the behavioural research lab at Rutgers for five years. At MABI, his background in engineering and doctoral research on decision-making informs how the institute examines people’s responses to AI systems—and whether those systems create business value in practice.
